The Nickel Club
The Nickel Club is Galway Swing's very own nightclub bringing you top
class entertainment from a golden age of music. The Nickel Club is unique as, not only
will you be able to enjoy nerve-tingling live music and guest appearances, a swing DJ
dedicated to the best of tunes from the 20's to the 50's, but it is located in the comfortable
surroundings of The Warwick Hotel in Salthill. The Warwick provides the perfect backdrop to
this great night out, with a large dance floor for spirited lindy-hoppers and comfortable
cubby holes for those who want to sit back and enjoy the greats such as Duke Ellington,
Glen Miller, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. The Nickel Club uses the main dance floor
for its events to ensure there is plenty of space for jitterbugging and socialising. With
a full bar, a huge dance floor and seats for tired feet, it is the perfect venue to meet new
people and to join the Galway Swing Dance scene. Galway Swing set up this dedicated jazz, jive
and swing nightclub to bring the very best in music from the 1920's to the 50's back to Galway's social scene.
This exciting social event has already been a huge success and is growing from strength to strength.
A night out at The Nickel Club includes a free dance class for absolute beginners.
Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the door.

Galway Swing's and BK's Speakeasy
The exciting era of the roaring '20s is re-ignited in the city with Galway Swing's
Speakeasy event in BKs Wine Bar. While Prohibition in the US is long gone, the legacy of the speakeasy remains,
as a place for good food, great entertainment and swingin' tunes. The night of music, food and dance
brings back the gangster age, when guys and dolls slipped into the speakeasy for fun and entertainment.
BKs Wine Bar, near the Spanish Arch, is transformed into the 1920's establishment as diners enjoy a three
course meal to a backdrop of the best in jazz and swing music. It is a ticket only event which is sold in
advance through Galway Swing.
Tickets are available from the Town Hall Theatre - No Ticket No Entry
