Frankie Manning
May 26, 1914 - April 27, 2009
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that the legendary lindy hopper, choreographer and teacher, Frankie Manning, passed away this morning, one month before his 95th birthday.
"Musclehead" Manning was one of the founding fathers of the Lindy Hop, right from its not-so-humble origins in the Savoy Ballroom in the 1920's and 30's .
He was a truly electrifying character who was an inspiration to countless thousands of dancers around the world. He will be terribly missed.
Galway Swing Weekend Workshop

Where: Galway Rowing Club & Commercial Boat Club, Woodquay, Galway
What: A Galway Swing Weekend featuring Graeme Puckett, Ann Peskett, Nejc Zupan and Katja Hrastar. Social events Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Classes all day Saturday and Sunday including Lindy Hop / Charleston, Balboa, Blues and Twenties Charleston.
